Technique

  1. From a prone position (lying on stomach), bring the hands beneath the shoulders.
  2. Press through the palms evenly to lift the upper chest off the floor, keeping the belly resting on the floor with the feet extending actively behind you.

Form tips

  • Pull the navel toward the spine. Activate the legs to reach back and press into the floor.
  • Gaze forward or toward the tip of the nose. Avoid hyperextending the neck.
