Technique
- Start in an L-base, with the flyer standing next to the base’s legs and facing the base.
- The base uses the foot closest to the flyer to find the inside of the flyer’s far thigh, placing it perpendicular to the middle of the thigh, while the other leg angles towards the flyer.
- The flyer makes a T with the arms and crosses the legs at the ankles.
- The flyer leans over the base’s feet until the base’s free foot finds the flyer’s armpit area.
- To exit, reverse the entry with control.
Form tips
- The flyer can cross the ankles once on the base’s feet if it feels more comfortable, and can press the lower arm into the base’s opposite leg to make mounting smoother.
- The flyer keeps the hips high to avoid dipping.
- The base can use a small rocking motion to load the flyer smoothly, keeping the Core engaged and the flyer in their stack.
