Technique
- From a kneeling position, fold forward from the hips, taking the forehead to the floor and resting the hands and arms alongside the body with the palms facing up.
- Alternatively, extend the arms overhead with the palms facing down.
Form tips
- This is a resting pose - a good posture to come to when you need to catch your breath. Feel the breath in the back body and allow a softening in the lower back as you breathe.
- For tight knees, place a blanket behind the knees so that the knee joints don’t have to fully close.
- For tight ankles, place a blanket under the ankles for cushion and support.
