Technique
- The base starts face up while the flyer stands at the base’s feet, facing away.
- The base turns the feet slightly outward and places them just above the flyer’s knees.
- The flyer bends the knees and leans back to sit on the base’s feet. The base finds the flyer’s hands and takes a Hand-to-hand grip.
- The base keeps the knees bent while the flyer wraps the feet around the front of the base’s ankles, hooking around the base’s calves.
- Once stable, release the hand grip and the base extends the knees.
- To exit, the base brings the knees to the chest and reconnects at the flyer’s hands, the flyer unwraps the legs to stand, and the base gives a gentle push to help the flyer step down.
Form tips
- In position, the flyer keeps the gaze and chest forward with the shoulders back, pushing the thighs into the base’s feet to keep the hips aligned.
