Technique

  1. Start in a Rings plank position.
  2. Lower yourself down until your body is at least as low as your hands.
  3. Then push yourself back up to the starting position.

Form tips

  • Keep the rings parallel: do not let them turn inward. Keeping them parallel will force you to work your shoulder external rotators.
  • Optionally, you can also turn the rings out completely at the top of the movement for extra stimulus on the external rotators.
  • Keep your Abs engaged and a posterior Pelvic tilt.
  • Your wrists should be below your shoulders.
  • Arms are close to the body - max 45° out.
  • Keep your head neutral (do not crane forward).
